Golden Road Brewery is an up-and-coming brewery located only a few of miles from my house. I've been there a couple times since I discovered it, and I definitely have plans to go back. IPA lovers will appreciate their 5-draft sampler. And if your Los Angeles-based business is looking for a place to host a party, I highly recommend their back lot. Golden Road imperial pints can be found in Southern California Trader Joe's, and I grabbed this four pack at Costco. I think the price was similar at both locations. Golden Road Get Up Offa That Brown Nose: Graham cracker, sweet, tart, toasty brown ale (can "ale" be a smell?) Taste: Rich and fulfilling. Well-balanced, but not boring. Fills your mouth with satisfaction after each sip, but it's creamy, not heavy. Similar: Get Up Offa That Brown is like Newcastle Brown Ale without the lip puckering tartness. Recommendation: This beer is available year-round, and that's when you should drink it--year round. | “We believe in great beer, which is an extension of our commitment to family, sustainability, good food, and the arts” |
